We celebrated the 3rd anniversary of our PB store's opening the other night. At the end of the night, a select few choose to partake in a Beer Mile Race and it was wild!

If you are not familiar with a beer mile it is a race that usually takes place on some sort of quarter mile track or loop. The race starts with with the consumption of a 12-US-fluid-ounce of beer at the start line followed by a full lap around the track. You drink another beer when you get back to the start/finish line and then off you go again for another 1/4 mile loop and so on until the full mile is finished.

First, let me paint the picture. The sun is down and the Harvest moon is just coming over the horizon. 60-70 people line a back alley in Pacific Beach. There is a fold-out plastic table against a cement wall that has 20 beers sitting on it in 5 groups of four beers. Five runners get set to run a quarter mile loop that starts in a dark alley and circles around to Garnett Ave and back. Not a sanctioned track for sure.

A handful of brave local runners as well as Milestone's own Dylan Marx an Alex Sak participated. Dylan and Alex finished 1st and 2nd, all runners finished, and no one puked. It was pretty insane to witness.
